A Hampshire Haven

The home of a keen gardener, with many unusual plants that needed to be incorporated into the new design. The garden lacked purpose and flow. It needed to be made sense of, whilst adding a greater depth of seasonal interest. This was achieved by dividing the garden into areas around the house. Each area was given a sense of purpose whilst making sure that there was a flow from one to another. The planting was reworked to make sure that the plants deliver a longer season of interest. Evergreen shrubs give structure through the winter, strong perennial planting takes the garden through the growing season with an additional ‘wow factor’ being provided by plants that give a short but effective burst of colour at different times of the year.
